TOWNSEND — The First Baptist Church of West Townsend will present a Nativity Pageant on Sunday, Dec. 18.

The pageant, celebrating the events surrounding the birth of Jesus, will be presented twice: once at the 9:30 a.m. worship service, and again at 2 p.m. The youth will act, narrate, sing, dance and play instruments to retell the nativity story, from the angels’ glad tidings to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds, through the visit of the Magi and the escape to Egypt.

The First Baptist Church sanctuary is accessible by ramp, and the church warmly welcomes people of all levels of physical and cognitive abilities. The 2 p.m. presentation is part of the work of David’s Harp, a ministry of the church bringing spiritual enrichment to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in such events due to cognitive or physical mobility challenges.

To that end, wheelchair placement is available at various places in the sanctuary, allowing flexibility to caregivers or family members.

First Baptist Church is located at 461 Main St. in West Townsend.
