William H. Blasetti (Billy), 63, of Jupiter, Fla., formerly of Hyannis, died unexpectedly at his home Aug. 2.

He was the husband of the late Nancy (Keeton) Shaw Blasetti, son of the late Mary (Young) and Joseph Blasetti and brother of the late Joseph D. Blasetti. He is survived by his son, Stephen Blasetti of Jacksonville, Fla., Moira McAuliffe, mother of Stephen, Jupiter, Fla., sister Anne Poole of Ayer, niece Cassandra Healy of Kingston, MA, nephews Mark Blasetti of Hingham, Joseph Blasetti of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Timothy Poole, and David Poole of Ayer.

Born and raised in Ayer, Billy attended Notre Dame High School, Class of 1966, and the University of Dayton. He loved fishing, golfing, playing cards and spending time with his son.

A salesman extraordinaire, Billy held sales positions in several industries, including liquor, pools and spas, mortgages, and insurance. Uncle Crusher (his self-proclaimed nickname when with his niece and nephews), will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Ayer, on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. Donations in Billy’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 31 Shirley St., Ayer, MA 01432.
