Well adult clinic: Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ayer Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held free of charge for the general public from 11 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center, 18 Pond St., Ayer. Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching. No appointment is necessary. Police benefit: A benefit for Ayer Superior Police Officers Association and Ayer Police Patrolman’s Association will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Devens Common Center. The evening will consist of a comedy night, featuring three of Boston’s top comics. Call 978-772-0512 for information. This is 21 and over event, general admission. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; theater-style seating.

Town beach open

The town beach is open daily until Labor Day. The hours when lifeguards are on duty for public swimming are noon to 7 p.m. All lifeguards are Red Cross-certified. There is no swimming at the town beach when lifeguards are not on duty.
