The Harvard Firefighters Association is holding the second annual Ken Harrod Memorial Bike Ride on Sunday Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ride is a memorial event for Ken Harrod, longtime department member who died last year.

There are five different rides to choose from — a 48-mile trek (3 loops), 32-mile trek (2 loops), a 16-mile loop, a short 8-mile loop and a 2-mile ride for children.

Advance registration online is $25 through Sept. 9, with discounts for families who sign up three or more riders. Day-of registration is $30. Proceeds benefit the Harvard Firefighters Association.

Food will be provided by the Harvard Lions, and there will be a silent auction. A number of local businesses are sponsoring the event as well.
