Friends of Willard Brook: 1 to 3 p.m. Invasive species weed pull. Friends of Willard Brook is waging battle against some of the worst offenders of the plant world. Help us eliminate a small stand of spotted knapweed while it is small enough to eliminate by physically pulling out the weeds by hand. Are you embarrassed to discuss your situation with family or friends? Families Anonymous is a group of concerned relatives and friends whose lives have been adversely affected by a loved one’s abuse of drugs or alcohol. The FA support program follows steps and traditions similar to those of Alcoholics Anonymous. Help is available at Families Anonymous on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at First Parish Church of Groton.
