Maureen A. McGowan, 51, passed suddenly at her home at 16 Pond St., Ayer.

Born Dec. 21, 1959 in Arlington, she formerly resided on Littlefield Road in Boxborough.

She is survived by her loving parents, James and Frances McGowan; sisters Carolyn Watt, Robbin Marie Coss, Allison Fleming; and brothers James and Peter McGowan; seven loving and devoted nieces and nephews, four great-nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, 52 cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

Maureen was a graduate of Minuteman Technical High School in 1978 and was an alumnus of Mount Ida College Chamberlain School of Design.

Services will be held at St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary Catholic Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment at South Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Boxborough, will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation would be graciously accepted.
