The Pilot Project at the old library teems with energy as weekly classes continue, summer offerings are added and collaboration between the Pilot Project and town groups fills the building with activity. An active spring roster of classes provides a host of opportunities for providers and users alike. The summer calendar is beginning to be populated by workshops as well as weekly summer camps.

Members of the Friends of the Library have been loading the shelves with books for the library sale, which will take place the next two weekends. This annual event is a favorite for book lovers, making the collaboration between the Pilot Project and the Friends especially important.

And the Pilot Project is very excited with the collaboration with For Arts Sake as they hang a community photography show which will be on display for the month of May. The show features some extraordinary photos by local photographers which really shouldn’t be missed.

We continue to offer a venue for anyone who has an idea for a class offering, workshop, special event or gathering of people. Now is the time to be thinking about scheduling space for the fall. We encourage you to email any questions or suggestions you may have to us at or check out the schedule of events on the town website. We also would welcome volunteer hours from those looking to get involved.

In closing, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you who have been so supportive of the Pilot Project in its infancy. As we look to the next year of planning, we hope you will join us in continued development of the potential uses for our prized historic old library.
