PEPPERELL — Mrs. Rosalie Welch Williams, 83, widow of the late Bernard Wlliams, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, following a short illness in her home in Pepperell, surrounded by her loving children and other family members.

Daughter of the late Elizabeth Bailey and George Welch, she was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. In 1927 and was raised in Nashua, N.H.

She and her husband made their home in Pepperell more than 50 years ago.

A homemaker, whose greatest joy was her family, Mrs. Williams is survived by 10 children: Betty-Anne Herget and Michele Gauthier, of Pepperell; Bernard Scott and Neena Williams of Pepperell; Rosalie Jane Kimball of Odessa, N.Y.; Richard and Mary Williams of Fort Fairfield, Maine; Robert Williams and Robin Bennett of Salem, N.H..; Eleanor Jones and Kenneth Jones of Pepperell; Brian Williams of Lowell; John and Nancy Williams of Townsend; Heidi Bouchard of Groton; and Marion and Marc Ford of Acton.

A daughter, Evelyn, 3, predeceased Mrs. Williams in 1966.

Sixteen grandchildren: Alan and Tige Herget; Ryan and Matthew Kimball; Rosalie and Erin Williams; Dustin and Ashley Rivera Williams; Branden and Sara-Jane Jones; Brian and Jessica Williams; Benjamin and Ryan Williams and Marc and Cassidy Ford.

She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Bailly of Dover, N.H.; a brother, George Welch of Nashua, N.H. and a sister-in-law, Marion Williams of Northfield, N.H., and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the Hamilton- McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Route 113) Pepperell, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. Burial services will be private.
