BALDWINVILLE — Ayer girls basketball took on a solid Narragansett team and eked out a 51-49 road win. The Lady Panthers improved to 12-4 with the victory while Narragansett dropped to 9-9. Ayer led the entire game and was able to hold off a late surge by the Warriors.

Amanda Shaughnessy, who paced a balanced Ayer offense with 12 points, was joined in double figures by teammates Ally Fillebrown with 11 points, and Brynnan Farrington with 10. Sarah Megan and Anna Peck each added five points while Katie Poitras and Casey Hardgraves chipped in with four points apiece.

Bianca Batallas led Narragansett with a game-high 17 points, followed by Raegan Mulherin with 15 points, and Erika Lepkowski and Kimmy Morris with five points apiece.
