Auditions for the Harvard Community Talent Show will be held Thursday, Feb. 24, and Monday, Feb. 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Volunteers Hall. Auditions are open to any resident of Harvard age 13 or over, and for anyone to watch and enjoy. The stage is limited; small groups of no more than five are welcome. At least one member must be a Harvard resident, employee, student or volunteer. Bring sheet music for accompanist. One bass amp only. No animals, please.
Participants should prepare a three-minute piece to perform before the HFOA selection committee and the audience in attendance. Maybe there’s a song no one can sing the way you do. Or maybe it’s a dance routine you choreographed and perform. An instrumental recital? A monologue or scene with some acting partners? Maybe it’s a comedy routine, or a novelty act no one else has thought of doing for a public audience?
Selected participants will perform in the 2011 Community Talent Show to be presented on Saturday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at Volunteers Hall. Admission is free.
There will be refreshments available and donations are always appreciated.
