I’m pleased to announce that the HES Principal Screening Committee has identified three finalists for the position of principal of Hildreth Elementary School. Members of the community are invited to public interviews as noted below. Interviews will be held in the HES Media Center.
Dr. Mary Lou DiBella, Jan. 5, 7 p.m.
Dr. Linda Dwight, Jan. 6, 7 p.m.
Mr. Carl Mock, Jan. 13, 7 p.m.
Dr. Mary Lou DiBella is principal of the Holland Elementary School in Holland. Previously she served as principal of Newton Elementary School in Greenfield and was assistant principal at Boland Elementary School. She has also held several positions, in public schools and in private practice, involved with early-intervention services. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
Carl Mock was recently director/superintendent of the River Valley Technical Center School District in Springfield, Vt. From 1991-2006, he served as school superintendent of the Hartford, Vt. School District. He also has been an elementary principal/superintendent and assistant superintendent. His teaching experience includes one year as a high-school social-studies teacher and six years as an elementary teacher. He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a master’s in education from the University of Vermont.
Dr. Linda Dwight is an elementary principal at the Pequea Valley School District and previously held a similar position in the Penn Manor School District, both in Pennsylvania.
She is an experienced classroom teacher and taught in grades 1, 2, 4 and 5. She holds a bachelor’s in science and master’s in education from Millersville University, Millersville, Penn. She also holds a doctoral degree in education leadership from University of Delaware.
