TOWNSEND — Faith Andres Bradford Wilkinson, 66, of Wallace Hill Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Cambridge.

Mrs. Wilkinson was born in Arlington, June 5, 1944, a daughter of Robert L. and Martha (Andres) Bradford. She grew up in Lincoln. She and her family resided in Harvard before moving to Townsend in 1971.

She was a 1962 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and continued her education at Vermont College in Montpelier, Vt.

For many years she worked as a medical secretary, most recently at the office of Drs. Edward and Cynthia Sprague in Townsend, retiring in 1996.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William G. Wilkinson; her daughter, Jennifer L. Wilkinson of St. Helena, Calif.; her son, William R. Wilkinson of Bolton; a brother, Mark Bradford of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Benjamin A.R. Wilkinson and Nathan M. Wilkinson.

An active member of the community, she served as a trustee to the Townsend Public Library and was also a member of the Friends of the Townsend Public Library. She served on the Amanda Dwight Entertainment Committee and was the local coordinator for the breast cancer “Daffodil Days” fund raiser in Townsend. She was a member of the Townsend Historical Society, Friends of Willard Brook and, with her husband, was a member of the Townsend Community Couples Club.

Faith will always be remembered as a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cousin and aunt. She loved life, finding joy in every day through her friends, sunshine, gardening, flowers, birds, music and walking. She valued the enduring friendships of her breakfast-and-book-club circle. Faith loved to travel, but always looked forward to returning home to her gardens and pets.

Contributions in Faith’s memory may be made to the Townsend Public Library Endowment, Inc., 12 Dudley Road, Townsend, MA 01469-1019.

Faith’s family will receive family and friends at a memorial visitation from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St. (Route 119) Townsend Center. Please see for additional information.
