Harvard Little League baseball, softball registration

Harvard Little League Baseball and Softball registration is now open. Register online at www.harvardbaseball.org and click the “register online” tab for the 2011 spring season. Harvard Little League is for boys and girls ages 5-12. Standard registration is open until Dec. 31, after that late fees apply. Opening day is not that far away.

Ayer youth baseball, softball registration

Ayer Youth Baseball & Softball is now accepting registrations for the upcoming season. Baseball players of all abilities, between the ages of 3 and 12 years old (as of April 30, 2011) and softball players grades third through ninth are encouraged to play. Register online at www.ayerbaseball.com. In-person registration will take place on Jan. 19 at the Page/Hilltop Cafeteria between 6 and 8 p.m. Those who played last year will receive information regarding the upcoming season in the mail.

Registrations must be received by Feb. 1 to ensure a roster spot. Coaches and volunteers are also needed at all levels. Please fill out a coach or volunteer form on our website. If you have any questions regarding Ayer Youth Baseball & Softball, call 978-772-4760 or e-mail ayerbaseball@yahoo.com.

Pepperell soccer registration

Pepperell soccer registration for spring 2011 is open. Travel deadline is Jan. 1, 2011 and intown deadline is Feb. 1, 2011. Please register before the deadlines as a late fee applies to registrations after these dates and space is limited.

Attention high school soccer players

Attention high school soccer players. Pepperell, Townsend and Ashby have made an agreement that all high school age boys from the three towns will play soccer through Townsend and the girls will play through Pepperell. Girls please register for Pepperell through www.pepperellsoccer.org and boys please register through www.taysa.info.

North Central Blaze tryouts

North Central Blaze will be hosting tryouts for its spring 2011 girls and boys AAU basketball teams on Jan. 15 and Jan. 22, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Jan. 15 tryout will be held at Fitchburg High School, 140 Arn-How Farm Road, and the Jan. 22 tryout will be held at the Ayer-Shirley Middle School, 1 Hospital Road, Shirley.

Tryouts will be held in all divisions and are open to all girls and boys in grades 4-12. Player eligibility is determined by the player’s grade in school as of Oct. 1, 2010. Players are allowed to try out for higher-grade teams if they wish.
