I would like to thank the voters of the Middlesex & Worcester District for their strong support in my successful re-election as your State Senator on Tuesday, Nov. 2. As I said on Election Night, I absolutely love being State Senator, and wake up every morning eager to get to work, change public policy, and help people. I am humbled by the strong support I received yet again this year and commend my opponent, George Thompson, for making the decision to run.

With a great amount of work already to do, I invite residents to contact me about ideas for legislation or changes in state government to improve the quality of life for the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at, or by visiting In addition, I will be scheduling public meetings across the district to give voters an opportunity to weigh in with their priorities before the next legislative session begins.

Finally, I want to thank my campaign staff, volunteers, endorsing organizations, and municipal officials who worked so hard for me during this election season. I am extremely proud of the grass-roots campaign that we ran and believe that I am a better Senator because of it.
