AYER — Loretta N. “Snookie” (Kiser) McPadden, 64, of East Main Street, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer after a lengthy illness.

She is survived her husband of 45 years, Roger S. McPadden; her son, Steven C. McPadden of Ayer; three daughters and a son in law, Barbara J. and Mitch Magnette, Amy C. McPadden and Traci N. McPadden all of Ayer; her sister and brother in law, Rita and Walter Mountain of Merrimack, NH and her granddaughter, Molly Rose Magnette. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and many dear friends including, Jay Migrants, who were very supportive to Loretta and her family during her time of failing health.

She was predeceased by her brother Edgar Kiser of Ayer in 2006.

She was born in Groton, Nov. 11, 1946, a daughter of Edgar and Rita E. (Henneberry) Kiser and was a lifelong resident of Ayer. She was a 1964 graduate of Ayer High School.

Mrs. McPadden and her husband had been very active in the Ayer High School Booster Club and were instrumental in the 1987 lighting of the football field there.

Most recently Mrs. McPadden worked in the cafeteria at the Harvard Elementary School, retiring in 2008. She also worked with her husband in the operation of their family business, Ayer Auto Trim, and for over thirty years had worked at the former Tony’s Restaurant on Main Street in Ayer.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road,(Route 2A) Ayer. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
