Federated Church of Ayer will host Holly Fair Nov. 20
St. Andrew’s Church, Ayer will host annual Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church parish hall. Admission is free and all are welcome.
This year’s raffle will feature a Wii Gaming System as the door prize. Other choices for this raffle table will be theme baskets, gift certificates, and many other prizes of new products and services. All prizes will be drawn at the close of the fair. Tickets for the quilt raffle, which features a beautiful hand made, blue and yellow queen-size, hand-tied quilt, will also be available and the winner will be drawn at the close of the fair. There is also a 50/50 raffle and tickets are available for that as well. Plan to come and pick up some home-made desserts and confections for Thanksgiving and the holidays. Pies, cookies, cakes, and candies will all be available. The boutique and other tables offer some wonderful ideas for Christmas and holiday gifts and decorations. Come and enjoy a hot turkey or ham luncheon with all the trimmings, or sandwiches and soup. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
By special arrangement with the North Pole, Santa Claus will be visiting the Holly Fair! Take the time to give him an idea of your wishes and have a picture taken with that jolly old man.
The Holly Fair is held on the south side of the building in Fellowship Hall. Parking is available in marked spaces in the adjoining parking lot, in the lot behind the building, or on adjoining streets. The church is handicapped accessible from the rear parking area.
Ayer Fire Department 6th annual Thanksgiving Day 5K road race
A total of 598 runners participated in last year’s event. Presented by North Middlesex Savings Bank, this family-oriented event attracted participants from all six New England states as well as Washington, D.C., Arizona, Colorado and Alaska!
Date: Nov. 25
Time: Day of race registration starts at 7 a.m.; race starts at 8 a.m. sharp (Sun, rain, or snow we run!)

Entry Fee: Pre, $18 (received by Nov. 23); Post, $23. (Sorry, no refunds)
Loaves and Fishes will be collecting non-perishable food on the day of the race.
