BU10 Pepperell United vs. Harvard

The Pepperell Youth Soccer U10 United team’s final game of the season against Harvard was riveting. Jack Phoenix made a spectacular goal in the first half. Owen Marr continued to have the focus, determination, and energy that he displayed all season in both defensive and offensive. His maneuvers made several accurate assists to David D’Ambrosio, who was strategically positioned in front of the opposing team net. David D’Ambrosio made a well-positioned shot on goal following a hand-ball penalty on Harvard. The hustle demonstrated by Chris Colangelo was admirable, as was the effort put in by Josh Colangelo and Caleb Amidon. Goaltender Cam Frechette, held strong through Harvard’s shots. Goaltender Colin Anselm made several notable saves in the second half. Thanks to the coaching efforts of Tim Phoenix and Rich Colangelo and the focus of the U10 United players, the 2010 fall season was a resounding success.

Revolution vs. Sounders

On the final, frigid day of the season, the Revolution came ready to play. The team had great offense from Katie Cinquegrano, Mason Kosman and Joey Doroski. There were spectacular breakaway goals from Charles Misail. Brian DiCicco scored multiple goals. Max Patenaude keyed the defense, with great efforts from Sophia Dambrosio, Dylan Troiano, Carter Amidon and Camden Howard.

Emily Hannon, Raelyn Callahan, Brooke Colangelo, Alex Aponte, Brady Young and Ayden McGrath all scored goals. Eric Bragg, Nicole Totora, Analise Marr and Liam White all had great dribbling and defensive moves getting the ball down to the goal. Ava Panaccione supported the team. All showed great hustle and played their best game of the season.

Rapids vs. Fire

U8 Rapids played hard with team work of passing attacks which led to several good goal opportunities. Duff Crochiere, Daniel Hunter and Luke Boccelli all scored goals each. Additional multiple goals were made by Gordon Crochiere, Nathan Nesbit, Ashley Regan, Sophia Yamanishi and Casey McCarthy. Assists were provided by Nathan Nesbit, Sophia Yamanishi and Casey McCarthy. Justin Featherstone, Emily Anderson, Lily Boccelli and Jessica Tine all showed great hustle. Defensively, Duff Crochiere, Justin Featherstone, Nathan Nesbit and Casey McCarthy were strong on the ball and broke up several of Fire’s scoring attempts.

U6: Crusaders vs. Renegades

Crusaders played a great final game of the season, led in scoring by Eva Morrissey, Sawyer Mericer and Andrew Peterson. Great goals were also made by Cameron White and Norah Russell. Emily Mucci, Christopher Russell and Joshua Gallagher showed noteworthy dribbling. Hustling for the team were Cameron White and Yazeli Cerone.

Matthew DiCicco excelled on defense in front of the goal and Benjamin Stakun provided essential cross field support for the Renegades. By the end of the first quarter, Drew DiCicco emulated his brother Matt with a save at the last second. Haley Palmer showed supreme passing skills, catching Lucas Eibye at the mid-field point at exactly the right moment. J.W. McDevitt and Jessica Henrikson made a fast break for the opponent’s net with impeccable teamwork. Reiley Johnson, Emily Marks, and Ella Holloran were essential contributors to this close and memorable game. Mallory Morrill, Matthew DiCicco, and J.W. McDevitt were all top scorers, each putting multiple goals in the net.
