WESTFORD — Marlayna Richards of Pepperell and Thomas Bavis of Townsend have been named September’s Athletes of the Month at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.
Marlayna Richards, daughter of Walter and Pam Richards, is a senior on the volleyball team. She also competes for the basketball and track teams. She is an honor roll student who plans to attend Fitchburg State College next year to study Sports and Fitness.
Thomas Bavis, son of Joseph and Rachael Donohue, is a senior running back and cornerback for the football team. He also competes for the hockey team and is the captain-elect for lacrosse.
He is in the TV & Media Production/Theatre Arts program.
Outside of school, Thomas coaches youth football for North Middlesex.
