GROTON — The PTA of Florence Roche Elementary and Boutwell School in Groton put on a Halloween Parade for children in the community annually. This year it will be held Sunday, Oct. 24 at 2:45 p.m. The children will gather at Prescott School on Main Street in Groton. They will get dressed up in their costumes and parade down Main Street, turn right onto Broadmeadow and then left onto the Town Field, where a huge reception will be held with music, dancing and other kid-friendly events.
The Main St. Cafe will be supplying the music. The PTA requests $1 per child at the field, and drinks and snacks will be provided. A “mystery” celebrity will be attending the event this year, so it is a pretty big deal. We are inviting all the children of the community to attend and encourage parents to dress up as well! There will be a raffle with many great prizes donated by Groton businesses. We encourage residents to come and support this exciting event that will benefit the children of our local schools. It will be televised on Groton Cable Access Television.
