To increase social opportunities for older Groton citizens, the Friends of Groton Elders has arranged with the Devens Grill to provide a monthly prix-fixe group lunch for Groton seniors willing to pay a moderate price and provide their own transportation.
The lunch will cost $15 (cash only) and will include a soup or salad first course, several choices of hot entrees, a dessert, a choice of coffee or tea, plus the meal tax and tip. If you would like to join the group on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m., please notify Corrine Moyle at 978-448-5014 or Dale Martin at 978-448-2226. They will sign you up, discuss arrangements, and give you directions to the restaurant if you need them
Since this is a new program for the Friends, the group would like to hear your reaction to the arrangements made thus far for an ongoing series of lunches. A group of volunteers has already tested the prix-fixe menu and found the food superior and the new social occasion a lot of fun.
The Devens Grill has been very accommodating to work with and will welcome as many people as sign up in advance with the Friends of Groton Elders.
