TOWNSEND — The Townsend Historical Society is hosting a “Harvest House Tour” on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The society is very pleased to bring back a Townsend house tour after quite a long hiatus.
Visitors will see a fascinating range of four private homes, plus the society’s Reed Homestead, all open to the public for this special one-day tour. Your event ticket provides a description of each house, with map and directions. Each house, distinctive with its own history, will highlight collections, furnishings and decorating ideas.
Co-chairs Karin Canfield and Susan Gerken explain that the promotion for tickets means “get your tickets early!” Pre-sale tickets are $10 through Oct. 15, and after Oct. 15, tickets will be $15.
Tickets are available at McNabb Pharmacy, Evans on the Common, Bailey’s Bar & Grille, and at the society’s office at the Reed Homestead, 72 Main St. or by calling 978-597-2106.
