Harvard Firefighters Inaugural

Ken Harrod Memorial Bike Ride

The Harvard Firefighters Association is holding a fundraiser bike ride on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ride is a memorial event for Ken Harrod.

There are a 32-mile trek (two loops), a 16-mile loop, and a 2-mile ride for kids. Advance registration online is $25 (through Sept. 8) with discounts for families who sign up three or more riders. Day of registration is $30. All proceeds benefit the Harvard Firefighters Association. Food will be provided by the Harvard Lions, and there will be a silent auction.

Harvard Fall Festival

The Lions Club will present its annual Harvard Fall Festival Sept. 17 through 19 at 150 Ayer Road.

Friday: Battle of the Bands, 5 to 10 p.m. Food and refreshments, $5 admission, free parking.

Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for all ages including kids carnival and helicopter rides. $5 per person with free parking.

Saturday night: 5:30 to 10 p.m., concert, fireworks, People’s Choice BBQ, food court, craft fair, jousting. Adults $12, students $8. Pre-school children free, Free parking.

Well adult clinic

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Harvard Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 1-2 p.m. at Hildreth House, COA, 15 Elm St., Harvard. Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teachings. No appointment is necessary. Woman’s Club coffee

The Harvard Woman’s Club will hold a coffee for prospective members Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at the home of Susan Guswa, 8 Meadow Lane, Harvard. New and longtime residents of Harvard and surrounding towns are invited to meet members of the club and learn about its purpose and activities.

The Harvard Woman’s Club seeks to foster friendship, fun and a wide variety of programs and activities for women of all ages.
