PEPPERELL — The Pepperell Cultural Council is accepting grant applications for its fiscal 2011 funding cycle. Applications are due by Oct. 15, 2011.
The Pepperell Cultural Council is a local agency funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The mission of the MCC and its local cultural council partners is “to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences, in order to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of our communities.”
The PCC receives grant money each year from the MCC, which we are responsible for distributing, keeping in mind our mission, in the form of grants which can be used to support a variety of cultural and artistic projects in our community, including exhibits, festivals, performances, workshops, lectures, and artist-in-residence programs.
In addition, the PCC also considers funding proposals from school and youth groups through the PASS program, which provides ticket subsidy to allow attendance at a Massachusetts-based cultural event.
Information, guidelines and applications are available at massculturalcouncil.org under local cultural council programs, and at the Lawrence Library and Pepperell Town Hall.
Applications may be mailed to Pepperell Cultural Council, Town Hall, Main Street, Pepperell, MA, 01463-1561.
The Pepperell Cultural Council is also seeking new members. We welcome volunteers who have an appreciation for the arts and a willingness to improve the quality of life for all the citizens of Pepperell.
