Are we looking for a part-time or a full-time person to do the job of representative in our district?

Let’s examine the candidates. Many have full-time businesses to attend to. Do you really think that they will set their businesses aside while being a state representative? I really doubt if they will. We are paying for a full-time position and expect full-time work from this elected position.

Jane Morriss will be that full-time person to work for us. She has no business distractions to worry about, only the people of our district, and will dedicate her time to doing just that. She has no special interest group of people to answer to as some may have. She will only have to answer to the people of our district.

Jane has served as Bob Hargraves’ legislative aide, and has proven that she can reach across the aisle to serve the people of our district. No other candidate has had any experience in the Statehouse. Jane believes in an open line of communication and believes that people come first.

Jane Morriss believes the investment in libraries is an investment in our communities, and believes in legislation that would protect homeowners from predatory loan practices. Jane knows firsthand how legislative decisions impact the growing number of people who are facing unprecedented financial challenges. Morriss also supports local agriculture and promotes cultural heritage of the region.

When you go to the polls, cast your ballot for Jane Morriss. I have come to know Jane over time from her association with ERA Home & Family Real Estate, where I work as a broker. I know she cares about the people of our district and I know that when she is elected, she will work hard to represent our best interests, and that this will be the main focus of her career.

On Sept. 14, vote for Jane Morriss for First Middlesex District representative.
