TYNGSBORO — Janet (Manson) Sargent, 69, of Massapoag Road, Tyngsboro, died after a long illness on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Janet Sargent was born in Fitchburg on June 30, 1941, the daughter of the late Everett and Elsie (Kallio) Manson of Townsend and the sister of the late John E. Manson of Townsend. Janet resided on Lake Massapoag for the past 35 years.
Mrs. Sargent is survived by her husband of 35 years, Brian J. Sargent of Tyngsboro and her four adoring children: daughter Heidi Hynes and husband George of Ayer; daughter Gretchen Horgan and husband Frank of Falmouth, Maine; daughter Amy Regan and husband James of Dunstable; and son Adam Sargent and wife Gretchen of Portsmouth, N.H. She also leaves nine beautiful grandchildren.
An accomplished pianist, she accompanied the Dunstable church choir for more than 25 years and entertained the elderly at Apple Valley and Laurel Place nursing facilities.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Evangelical Congregational Church, 518 Main St., Dunstable, MA 01827.
