HARVARD — Bust out the bubbly. The Bromfield School is being recognized again by Boston magazine in the publication’s September edition, on newsstands now.

The Bromfield School is ranked 15th in the state in the magazine’s listing of the “Best Public High Schools” for 2010.

Bromfield moves one notch down in the magazine’s listings. Last year Bromfield was ranked as the 14th best public school for 2009, using its own formula to make the close calculations between top districts.

The magazine lists Bromfield’s vital stats as having 744 students, one teacher for every 14.5 students, and per-pupil spending of $12,968. MCAS Scores for English, math and science are all in the mid 90s, and SAT scores for reading, writing and math at 609, 613 and 597, respectively. With 93.5 percent graduating, 96.1-percent of Bromfield graduates are college bound, cites the publication.

Top-ranking Weston High School, by means of comparison, has 715 students, a 10.8-to-one student/teacher ratio, and per- pupil spending just exceeding $18,000 each.

Rounding out the towns above Bromfield are: (1) Weston, (2) Dover-Sherborn, (3) Lexington, (4) Wellesley Sr. High, (5) Concord-Carlisle, (6) Bedford, (7) Brookline, (8) Wayland, (9) Newton North, (10) Newton South, (11) Westwood, (12) Hamilton-Wenham, (13) Manchester-Essex, and (14) Sharon.

Locally, other schools in the top 50 include Lincoln-Sudbury (20), Acton-Boxborough (26), Westford Academy (36), Groton-Dunstable (37), Littleton (38), and Nashoba Regional (43).
