Three Groton residents to show their wares at Fruitlands Museum

GROTON — Three Groton residents will take center stage at Fruitlands Museum this fall as part of the noa at Fruitlands 2010 Artisan Series.

On Saturday, Sept. 11, Jessica Engels will demonstrate her technique for making woven beaded jewelry. She will also be exhibiting her handmade paper. The following week, Saturday, Sept. 18, Roseann Saradakis will show off her Shaker-inspired woven baskets. On Saturday, Oct. 9, Groton’s Adrian Hlynka will exhibit his infrared photography.

The noa at Fruitlands Artisan Series features a different local artist every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Oct. 15.

Store hours coincide with museum hours: weekdays from 10 a.m. to- 4 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Noa, at 157 Main St. in Groton, which began managing the Fruitlands Museum Store in May, and features handmade jewelry, fine handcrafts and gifts from 200 local artists.
