PEPPERELL — The Friends of Pepperell invites supporters, all those involved with the installation effort, and the public to the grand opening of the playground at the Town Field on Tuesday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. The celebration is being held in conjunction with the Ice Cream Social.

The playground, after hard work by volunteers from June 19 to July 2, is open for business, in time for Fourth of July festivities. It is being used by kids attending the Summer Playground program through the Recreation Department.

The Friends thank those who stepped in to help the project run smoothly: Craig Radwich and his helpers Sean McMahon and John Petroforte, as well as Ken Morgan owner of KRM Carpentry and Jay Quin of KRM Carpentry

Thanks also to go Pepperell DPW and Bormann Brothers for storage and moving of playground equipment, and to the Pepperell Recreation Department as well. Additional thanks go to C&S Pizza, Coca Cola, Donelan’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Hannaford’s, Home Depot and Shaw’s, as well as Nashoba Publications for their support continued coverage.
