First Parish Unitarian Universalist has “old-fashioned hymn singing”

GROTON — First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Groton, at the corner of Main Street and Route 40, invites the public to its “Old-Fashioned Hymn Singing” service on Sunday, July 11, at 10 a.m.

The church is holding lay-led services during the summer on Sundays at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the main church building, across from the Groton Public Library. Visitors are welcome and beverages, light snacks follow the services.

The summer series includes:

July 18: Coming Home: Veterans’ Stories

July 25: Sacred Transitions

Aug. 1: Shaping Our Identity

Aug. 8: Sharing Ramadan

Aug. 15: Bring Your Favorite Poem(s)

Aug. 22: The Phenomenon of Religion: Where Did It Come From?

Aug. 29: Meditation on Hope for the Gulf of Mexico Disaster
