PEPPERELL — The Pepperell Farmers Market will hold its grand opening at the Town Field behind the Community Center on Main Street on Saturday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market, sponsored by the Pepperell Agricultural Committee, will be held every Saturday through Oct. 23.

The market includes a wide range of food and specialty items from local providers.

Among them are beef from Lyn-Dell Farm of Pepperell, which often brings along a mother cow and calf for viewing. North Forty Farm of Townsend sells beef, pork and lamb as well. Both farms are hormone and antibiotic free. Eggs will be will be available from these farms and from Kirk Farm of Groton.

Lyn-Dell and North Forty join Twin Valley Farm of Pepperell and Country Dream Farm of Mason in bringing fresh, local produce to market, including lettuces and raspberries in July, tomatoes and corn in August, apples and pumpkins in September, and sweet root veggies and butternut squash in October.

Sweeteners and condiments will include honey from Nissitissit Apiaries, maple syrup from North Forty Farm, and jams, dressings, relishes and salsas from Scotch Pine Farm. Fresh herbs will be available in season, as well as garlic from Dragonfly Farm.

Bagel Alley of Nashua returns to the market. Baked goods will include breads and pastry pockets from Better Off Bread of Pepperell, spanakopita, baklava, falafel, tzatziki and other specialties from The Spinach Pie Lady of New Ipswich, scones from Scotch Pine Farm and dog biscuits from Reliable Dog Care of Pepperell.

Other products will include beeswax and honey skin-care products from Bethany Bee Apiary of Townsend, custom jewelry from Linda Rush Holt of Pepperell, and plein-air impressionistic art from Matthew Gray.
