Veterans services: Veterans Service Officer Robert Johnson

Office: Legion Hall, 75 Hollis St., first floor; 978-448-1175. Hours: Mondays 9 a.m. to noon; Weds. 6 to 9 p.m.; first Friday of each month, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mobile medical clinic by appointment. The Veterans Service Officer is responsible for disbursing benefits to qualified veterans upon application and for generally serving the needs of veterans in town.

“Talk with Tom” June 28

The monthly discussion group hosted by Tom Hartnett will meet Monday, June 28, at the Groton Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. At this final meeting of the season, the group will review past programs and talk about what they found most interesting and satisfying. Mr. Hartnett will then give everyone a chance to develop new ideas for future directions the group might take. These discussions are sponsored by the Friends of Groton Elders to give people an opportunity to make or renew acquaintances, learn more about their community and the world at large, and enjoy a pleasant monthly social experience. The meetings are free and open to all, with no reservations required.

Strength Training Class: 11:30 a.m.; Fee $2 per session with minimum 20 participants payable to instructor at first class. Drop-in fee $4.

Groton Swim: 10-11 a.m. at GROTON SCHOOL POOL

Groton Council on Aging Board Meeting: 9:30 a.m., first Monday of month. Open to the public.

Veterans Breakfast: 10 a.m., second Mon. of month. Reservations required, call 978-448-1170.
