New playground installation: Construction Volunteers Needed!!: The Friends of Pepperell Recreation are very excited to receive delivery of long sought after pieces to a new playground for the Town Field. They were ordered weeks ago and are due in town very soon. The goal is to have these installed and ready before the summer months – to be enjoyed by summer playground participants and everyone else. A date has been set for the playground installation and the Friends of Pepperell hope that you may be able to set aside some time to help them install the new equipment on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20, even if only for a few hours. Any and all time you can spare would be put to good use, particularly from those with construction knowledge. There are 8 pieces to install – two slides, a bank of 8 swings, a carousel spinner, zipline, rock n rider, a gravitron, and a tire swing. Teams of 5-8 will be set up to work on each piece to facilitate installation. Please recruit a few friends and work on this together! The Friends will be assembling whatever possible ahead of time during the week prior/during the day. The rest will be done onsite on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 & 20. For more information, contact the Friends of Pepperell Recreation.
