SATURDAY, JUNE 19

Community supper: 5:30 to 6 p.m. The Community Supper at the Federated Church of Ayer will be a Stuffed Chicken Breast supper served in Fellowship Hall. Following the supper you are invited to stay for a free dessert and movie. The supper is $8 for adults, two for $15, children 5-12 years of age are $4 and under 5 are free. 100 percent of the profits will benefit those left homeless by the earthquake in Chile. All are welcome. The church, which is located at 21 Washington St., is handicapped accessible in the back of the church.

Father’s Day fishing derby: Ayer Gun & Sportsman’s Club, 255 Snake Hill Rd., Ayer, 978- 772-9748, will host a Father’s Day fishing Derby from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Adults $12, Children 12 and under $6. One pole per admission, 3-fish limit, no license required, open to the public, raffles & prizes. Breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m.; lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fathers eat free.

Well adult clinic: Nashoba Associated Boards of Health and D’Ambrosio Eye Care Inc. will hold a Well Adult Clinic from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Carlin’s Restaurant, 48 Main St., Ayer. The clinic will include a free Vision Screening. Blood Pressure and Pulse will also be taken. No appointment is necessary. For further information, please contact 978-772-3335 , ext. 333.

Classic Car Nights

Sponsored by the Ayer Downtown Business Alliance with assistance from Gervais Ford, Ayer takes place the third Wednesday of every month thru September from 6 to 8 p.m., or until the sun goes down! Taste the hot dogs and hamburgers for sale. Hear the oldies tunes. See the beautiful classic cars and spread the word. All are welcome. Monies raised fund the alliance’s year round activities downtown.

DPW changing hours

Effective through Sept. 10, 2010, the Department of Public Works office will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
