Have you heard of TEO? TEO stands for Townsend Ecumenical Outreach. It grew out of the need to reach out to members of the Townsend community through its affiliated churches. Through TEO there is a network that offers residents help and aid in an emergency.

One of the ways the Townsend community responds to TEO fund raising efforts is through the annual penny drive. Through September, the familiar canisters will be in most local businesses. If you have pennies, nickels, dimes or quarters collected at home, please consider donating them to TEO. Your small change or dollars will make a big difference to someone in need.

You may also donate nonperishable food, paper products and “gently used” clothing directly to TEO at 82 Bayberry Hill Rd, West Townsend, MA 01474. For more information about TEO, the monthly food bank, and the Clothes Closet please call 978-597-2549.
