Father’s Day Paddle on the Squannacook River in West Groton: The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) invites you to join us for a guided paddle on a spectacular section of the Squannacook River from 1 to 4 p.m. Your guide will be Stacey Chilcoat, NRWA River classroom director. On this lovely round-trip flat water paddle, we’ll explore a section of the Squannacook River known for its rich wildlife habitat and natural beauty. Field guides and other identification materials will be provided. A great family outing! This river trip is open to the public and free of charge. Donations to support NRWA programs are welcome. The trip begins and ends in West Groton. Our canoe trips run in a variety of weather conditions including mist and light rain. Participants are welcome to bring their own boats; paid rentals are available through Nashoba Paddler. Space is limited: pre-registration is required, whether or not you bring your own boat. At Fruitlands Museum: Clare Walker Leslie Workshop: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. “Capturing Nature: a workshop with Clare Walker Leslie.” $30 Members, $60 nonmembers, Children (10-14) $20. Touch-a-Truck and Cow-Plop-Drop fundraiser: The non-profit TCP is holding a fund raising event at Cherry Hill Too Ice Cream on Route 119 in Townsend Harbor from 3 – 6 p.m. All types of trucks will be there for kids to visit and touch for free. The Bouncy House will be there as well.

Come watch the cow drop its flop and win. The Cow Flop Drop tickets are $50 each and only 100 tickets will be sold. Gently Used Book Sale: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Congregation Shalom is holding its fourth annual gently used book sale at the synagogue, 87 Richardson Road in North Chelmsford.
