The Townsend Fire/EMS Relief Association will host the lawn party at the Town Military Band’s Thursday, June 24, concert on the Townsend Common.
Townsend Fire/EMS personnel will grill hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages to sell to hungry concertgoers. They will also sell cold soda, bottled water and juice as well as hot coffee. There will be a variety of games and other entertainment for children set up on the Common that evening.
The Townsend Military Band’s concert will be funded by money from the Amanda E. Dwight Entertainment Fund.
The Townsend Military Band will open its concert at 7:30 p.m. by playing the Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite march and Pachelbal’s Canon. The Star Spangled Banner will end the concert at 9:30 p.m.
