TOWNSEND — The 38th annual Strawberry Festival of the Townsend Woman’s Club is being held on Saturday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m on the Town Common.

The rain date is Sunday, June 27, from noon to 5 p.m. Crafters space is still available at $25 for a 12-by-12 foot space. Call 978-597-6651 for an application and/or information.

The club is pleased to again have award-winning Country Dave Lameroux, along with Kathy and Anthony, in the bandstand to entertain during the day.

Besides crafters, the Townsend Business Association will have a booth, as well as students from Nashoba Valley Technical High School, who will be doing various demonstrations pertaining to their classes.

Aside from the famous strawberry shortcakes with homemade biscuits, there will be a food court, Grandma’s Attic Treasures, “Our Town” afghans — now selling at a reduced price of $40 each — and raffle prizes.

This annual event is the club’s only fundraising activity for their annual scholarship award of $1,000 to a graduating senior from North Middlesex Regional High School or a Nashoba Valley Technical High School graduating senior from Townsend.
