Today we celebrate our veterans who have given their hearts and souls to keep the freedoms our Forefathers fought so hard for. Thank you.
The veterans were proud to be wearing their uniforms, hats and well-deserved medals. Thank you for all of your sacrifices so we can have the freedoms we have today.
Patrick McNabb spoke eloquently about veterans and did a lot of research for his speech. Well done and a proud son of Pepperell.
The Scouts looked great in their uniforms and vests with all of their hard-earned badges. Well done and we are proud that you are working hard to become good citizens.
The Nissitissit Middle School Band sounded and looked great in their red polo band shirts, white pants and shoes. Too bad they were at the end of the parade. They should have been at the head of the parade to show how proud they are to make Pepperell their home! Well done and thank you.
The North Middlesex High School Band was at the head of the parade. They were the first band we saw. The music was fine, but their appearance left a lot to be desired. “Matching” T-shirts that looked like they were fit for football practice. The wide variety and colors of pants including worn-out jean cut-offs, short-shorts and what have you were inappropriate for a band. And footwear that did not match. Whatever happened to looking nice and neat? Some of the band members looked like they had rolled out of bed and put on the first thing they found on the floor. Disgraceful.
