The “Groton Woman’s Club’s Got Talent” variety show entertained a full house at the Union Congregational Church on Friday, April 16, sharing a diversity of talents. There were artistic displays of colorful quilts, weaved baskets, and beautiful paintings. There were singing performances, a dance group, a banjo solo, side-by-side duets and piano solos, and the audience also had the pleasure of having original poems read to them. Written by Edie Tompkins, the comical play, “Pounds Away Reducing Club” was performed by several members and was a big hit, receiving lots of laughs.

The Groton Woman’s Club will be hosting its year-end luncheon at the Devens Common on Friday, May 21.
