TOWNSEND — The next meeting of the Townsend Woman’s Club will be held on Tuesday, April 13. Please note: The meeting will be held in the Townsend House Restaurant, at the corner of Depot Street and Route 13 South in Townsend. If members or guests plan to have lunch prior to the meeting, they should arrive at 11:30 a.m.
The business portion of the meeting will commence at 12:30 p.m., President Linda Matson presiding.
During the business meeting, election of the 2010-2011 slate of officers for the Townsend Woman’s Club will be held.
We are very pleased to have our special guest, Linda Salisbury, a local artist. Guests are always welcome.
The Townsend Woman’s Club is pleased to announce that they are having an after-holiday sale of their “Our Town” afghans. They are on sale now for $40. They measure 50 inches by 65 inches and are made of high quality, very durable, 100-percent prewashed cotton, machine washable and made in the USA. Application for our 38th Annual Strawberry Festival scheduled for Saturday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Town Common is available. Spaces are $25. If interested, contact Ginny Welch for further information and/or an application. This annual event is the club’s only fundraising activity for their Scholarship Fund.
