Pepperell Woman’s Club’s 7th annual Community Talent Show: 6:30 p.m. Come show your support and spend an all-ages friendly evening watching family, friends and neighbors perform. Everyone is invited to an evening full of music, singing, dancing and comedy — with 20 performers in all — ranging from school age to adult. The show will be in the auditorium at Nissitissit Middle School located at 33 Chace Avenue in Pepperell. FREE admission for everyone !
A performance by our special musical guest, country singer Tracilynne, will start off the evening. During intermission, come spend a few minutes browsing through the Chinese Auction containing items donated by local residents and businesses while enjoying baked goods and refreshments. The evening ends with announcement of the winners in each category. Will your favorite act win? Stay for the whole show to find out !
All proceeds from this evening will benefit the Pepperell Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund, which is given each year to a high school senior from Pepperell.

Turkey breast supper: 4:30 to 6 p.m. Pepperell Methodist Church is hosting a Turkey Breast Supper with all the fixings and homemade deserts. Cost is Seniors $7, nonsenior adults $8 and children $4. The door prize (you are automatically entered with the purchase of your supper ticket will be drawn at 5:30 p.m. Please come join us for this wonderful dinner, you’ll be glad you did. New Transfer Station stickers required by April 1
New Transfer Station Car stickers are now available and will be required for use of the Transfer Station on April 1, 2010. The new stickers will be valid through March 31, 2011.
Transfer Station sticker costs and bag tag rates will not increase from last year:
$59 valid through March 31, 2011 ($49 if purchase through the mail with a self-addressed stamped envelope)
$35 for Seniors aged 60 or older ($25 if purchased through the mail with a self-addressed, stamped envelope)
$20 for one day use only stickers
$10 Replacement Stickers (MUST be accompanied by the old Sticker)

Trash bag tags
Sheets of 5 bag tags are $9. Trash bag size up to 39 gallons. Bag tags should be peeled off and affixed to the side of the trash bag where it can be easily seen.
Bag tags are available for sale from the Transfer Station attendant, at Donelan’s Market on Main Street, at Pepperell Family Pharmacy on Main Street, and at the DPW Office in Town Hall during normal business hours. Bag Tags are not available by mail.

Candidates Night at the Senior Center
April 13 at 7 p.m.
The Council on Aging and Pepperell Free Press will host a Candidates Night at the Pepperell Senior Center on April 13, at 7 p.m. The event will offer a chance to meet and hear from the candidates running for office in the upcoming Annual Town Election, scheduled for April 26. There are contested races for Town Clerk, NMRSD School Committee, and Planning Board.
Moderator for the evening will be Derek TenBroeck.
Pepperell Garden Club, Weds., April 14: “30 Plants that Pay the Rent”
7 p.m. at the Pepperell Senior Center, Rt. 111, Pepperell.
Professional landscape designer Adriana O’Sullivan will present “30 Plants that Pay the Rent.” She describes her program as one “that gives you many ideas to use in your own garden. The plants featured are some of the easiest to grow in our area. They are drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and offer at least two or three seasons of interest.” Learn how to create more beauty in your garden by making combinations that seem to extend the blooming season, and discover some new cultivars to introduce in your garden. She will also suggest alternative perennials, shrubs and trees to substitute for identified invasive species in Massachusetts.
