Onesta M. Faillace, 94, of Pepperell formerly of Wakefield, died on Thursday, March 18, at her residence.

Born in Hartford, Con.. on April 11, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Adelindo and Julia (Brignole) Malentacchi.

Mrs. Faillace was a graduate of Hartford High School, Class of 1933 and Morse Business School in Hartford. She had been a Wakefield resident for over 50 years and a Pepperell resident since 1996. Mrs. Faillace was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield and W.S.S.E. in high school. She was an accomplished pole vaulter and was a member of the Phi Xi Delta Sorority. Mrs. Faillace enjoyed gardening and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was the beloved wife for over 50 years to the late Blaise J. Faillace. Devoted mother of Judy Dalton, and Louis “Buddy” Faillace both of Pepperell. Sister of Claudia Procek of Falmouth and the late Lena Hofstetter, and Nancy Luzzi. Loving grandmother of Michelle Dalton, and Mark Dalton and his wife Joyce. Great grandmother of Brock and Cameron Dalton.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, April 2, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
