LEOMINSTER — Eleanor B. (Borneman) Lauze, 77, of 100 Main Street, a former longtime resident of Townsend, died unexpectedly Friday, March 26 at Health Alliance- Leominster Hospital.

Her husband, Victor Lauze, died in December 1966.

Mrs. Lauze was born in Townsend, April 28, 1932, a daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Shepherd) Borneman and resided many years in Townsend before moving to Leominster in 1995.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia L. and David St. Hilaire of St. Augustine, Fla., Jacqueline M. Lauze of Jaffrey, N.H.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Stella Borneman of Townsend, Wallace and Lorraine Borneman of Leominster; three sisters and a brother in law, Barbara Borneman and Dorothy “Dolly” Thompson both of Leominster, Joyce and Everett Hicks of Rome, N.Y. She also leaves three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Richard Borneman of Townsend who died in 1984.

Before her 1994 retirement, she worked at Bay State Plastic Company in Leominster and the President Suspender Company in Shirley.

She attended the Townsend Congregational Church.

A funeral service was be held on Thursday, April 1, at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Townsend.
