TOWNSEND — Landscape paintings by Jeanne Pierce and Joan Wotkowicz will be on display in the Townsend Meeting Hall Gallery from March 1 to March 27.
Both artists are Townsend residents who draw inspiration for their work from the natural environment. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Saturday, March 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Originally from the Berkshires, Joan Wotkowicz has lived in Townsend for 25 years. The exhibit will feature many of her pastel paintings of landscapes along the coast, rivers and mountains of the northeast. She will also display several of her newest works in colored pencil.
Jeanne Pierce has called Townsend home since 1992. She will display recent landscapes painted in New England and the Southwest. Pierce has exhibited her oil and pastel paintings throughout New England, and is excited to have the opportunity to show her work in Townsend’s newest venue.
