Blizzard seeks players

New England Blizzard 16U Jr. Olympic softball team is looking for two additional players to add to their 2010 summer tournament schedule. We are seeking committed, talented softball players to play in eight tournaments, of which two are college showcases. Legion Baseball

All baseball players in nearby communities who may be interested in joining the 2010 Shirley Junior Legion baseball team should e-mail jimcanning@charter.net or visit www.teamgauss.com. Junior legion baseball is intended for ballplayers who are 17 years old or younger. You cannot turn 18 years old during the 2010 calendar year. Junior legion games will be played between mid-June and mid-July.

Final lacrosse registration/used equipment sale

On Saturday, Feb. 27, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m at the Pepperell Community Center, the North Middlesex Youth Lacrosse will be having the last registration for the boys and girls spring lacrosse season. Space is limited at some age groups. Concurrently, a small amount of used equipment will be available for sale. If you have equipment that is no longer needed, bring it to the Community Center and make a little money. Call Burke Bero at 978-433-5240 for further information.

running camp at FSC

Fitchburg State College will host a one-day fielding and base-running camp Feb. 28 for players in grades 1 through 12. Fitchburg State head coach Todd Lynch will direct the program in conjunction with the U.S. Baseball Academy. The session will last for three hours and the cost is $50. Space is limited.
