The final three candidates for Ayer economic development director head for public interviews on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. at Ayer Town Hall.
They are:
* David Maher of Warwick, R.I., 57 years old; Presently community development director for Cranston, R.I. Previously a Cranston building inspection and zoning coordinator for a year, city director of economic development from 2005-2007, and prior to that the economic development coordinator for Cranston from 1999-2005.
Undergraduate – B.S., communications/media and marketing promotion, Emerson College, Boston. Master of arts/human resource development and training, Webster University, Greenville, SC.
* Glen Ohlund of Hopkinton (Contoocook), N.H., 46 years old. Outreach coordinator for “Cooperative Fund of New England,” a community development finance institution, underwriting loan requests and securing lenders to capitalize group’s loan fund. Manchester (N.H.) economc development coordinator, 2006-2008, and previously “NH Main Street Center” assistant director in Concord, N.H., 1999-2006.
Undergraduate – B.S. business administration, Southern New Hampshire University; Master of science/community economic development, Southern New Hampshire University.
* Erin Rowe of Westminster, Mass., 27 years old. City planner, city of Woburn, Mass., from 2006-present; previously a graduate intern for human resources for town of Plymouth 2005-2006.
Undergraduate – B.A. communication studies, Bridgewater State College; Master of public administration, ridgewater State College.
