Volleyball registration

Volleyball for grades 5 to12 — open to all fifth through 12th grade students from Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend at Hawthorne Brook Middle School in Townsend. Eight-week session for $48: Jan. 8-22-29, Feb. 5-26, March 5-12-19 (March 26, weather make up date). Grades 5 to 8, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; grades 9 to 12, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Space needs to be confirmed by e-mail, clem6six@verizon.net. Bring payment and form to first session. LOVE CARDS? We have lots of excitement to choose from: Mondays at 9:30 a.m. play Hand and Foot; Tuesdays at 10 a.m. is Cribbage and 12:30 p.m. is Gin Rummy.

LOVE YOGA? You can come to the center on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. for Yoga with Patsy and Thursdays at 9 a.m. for Yoga with Elise.

WII SPORTS continues with bowling on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and golf on Fridays at 9:30 a.m..

SINGING with the Hot Shots is at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesdays.

LUNCH — Join our lunches on Wednesday at 12 noon. There is always something delicious to eat! There is a $2 charge for Pepperell residents and a $3 charge for non-residents. Follow lunch with a bit of bingo fun!

EXERCISE — Mondays at 10 a.m. and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. with Elaine.

NAIL DAY — Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m. Come to the center for some pampering. We will paint your fingernails any color you wish from our vast selection. Please sign up at the front desk. This event is free of charge.

BOOK BUDDIES — We are starting a new program for our seniors who would like books and movies delivered to them from the Lawrence Library. If you are interested, please give us a call and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

Pepperell youth

in “Pinocchio”

Several Pepperell children will perform in the upcoming regional production of Pinnocchio by the Three Rivers Youth Theater. This musical adaptation by Edie Tompkins is based on the 1883 childhood classic written by Carlo Collodi. Joining the cast of 22 are local children Hannah Gould as Pinocchio, Grainne Casey as Sly Fox, McKenna Premus as the Blue Fairy, and Roisin Casey, Sarah Revis, and Hayden Valcanas, all of whom juggle multiple roles.

The shows are Saturday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Black Box Theater at Groton Dunstable Regional High School. Tickets are just $10 for adults and $7 for students/seniors, which can be purchased in Groton at the Main Street Cafe or Clover Farm Market, in Pepperell at the Gypsy Cafe or Luth’s Family Karate, at the door, or by calling Groton Center for the Arts at 978- 448-3001.
