Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Townsend Board of Health, announces that on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 1-3 p.m. at the Senior Center, 16 Dudley Road, H1N1 Vaccine will be offered to residents of its member towns and will be administered in accordance with the current guidelines from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Please visit our website at www.nashoba.org to download the necessary forms to be completed and brought to the clinic. McDonald’s Night for Project Graduation

A McDonald’s Night, Main Street, Townsend, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. Twenty percent of the take-out and eat-in sales will be contributed to Project Graduation. Project Graduation is a substance free all night party that is offered to all North Middlesex Regional High School seniors on graduation night.

2010 Licenses

2010 Dog Licenses are available at the Town Clerk’s Office: altered/spayed dogs $6; standard dogs $11. We may only register dogs with up-to-date rabies certificates. If you have registered them in the past we may have it on file, if not you must bring the certificate with you. Late fees and fines begin March 1.

Volleyball registration

Volleyball for grades 5 to12; open to all students from Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend at Hawthorne Brook Middle School in Townsend. Eight-week session for $48: Jan. 8-22-29, Feb. 5-26, March 5-12-19 (March 26, weather make up date). Grades 5 to 8, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; grades 9 to 12, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Space needs to be confirmed by e-mail, clem6six@verizon.net. Bring payment and form to first session. ABC Follow Me: Preschool. ABC Follow Me is a children’s playtime and story time combined with music and movement program. Being offered is a series of parent/child programs devoted to encouraging families to engage in fun, physical activities together. Beth Anne McManus will lead the weekly sessions held in the Town Hall, Main Street, on Thursdays. First session Jan. 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 25 and March 4, 11. Second session is March 25, April 1, 8, 15, 29 and May 6. The 10:15-11 a.m. session is for walkers-age 2 and the 11 to 11:45 a.m. session is for ages 2-4. Cost is $48 for the eight-week session. Cost is $36 for the six-week session. Daily rate is $7/class per child. Make check out to Townsend Recreation and bring to first session. Monster trucks: Monster Jam, DCU Center, Worcester, Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. Section 215-tickets $22.75 adults, $12.75 (age 2-12).Price includes recreation and DCU handling charge.
