Almost 10 years ago when my husband and I moved to Pepperell, we searched for the perfect home and the perfect small town to settle and raise our family. As soon as we drove down Main Street and saw the beautiful Library, Town Hall and went into Donelan’s we realized we had found our home. This month, I was reminded again why Pepperell is such a great small town during the preparations for the annual Breakfast with Santa at the Varnum Brook Elementary School (formally at Peter Fitzpatrick school).
Several of the local merchants in town were very generous in their support of the Varnum Brook Elementary School’s annual Breakfast and fundraiser. When I stopped by to ask for donations, everyone greeted me with a warm smile and I left with great story of Pepperell and a generous donation. I just wanted to say thank-you for reminding me why I chose this town for my home. I loved seeing the old pictures of Pepperell in McNabb’s general store and talking to everyone in the Pepperell Pharmacy about how their kids (and they!) attended Varnum Brook Elementary School many years ago.
Special thanks to the following people and places who helped make this year’s Breakfast with Santa a success – Donelan’s, C&S Pizza, The Gypsy Café, The Pepperell Pharmacy, McDonald’s in Townsend, Hannaford in Townsend, Dunkin’ Donuts in Pepperell, McNabb’s General Store, Karen’s Korner, Gretchen Archambault, Peticure, Jenn Wooldridge, Tina Sulmonetti, Yvonne’s Nails, Lisa Griffiths, Matley Pool & Cozy Bear Gift Shop, The Hair Cottage, and Bethany Harrington.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukah!
