The students, parents and staff of the Florence Roche Elementary community contributed an abundance of food and goods to the annual Senior Citizens Holiday Basket Drive.
Five grade-four students were accompanied by two Groton police officers and a school counselor delivering the overflowing baskets and holiday cheer to nine grateful senior citizens.
Thanks go out to the entire community to the generous response making the drive a great success.
Due to the overwhelming response, seven boxes of extra food was donated to Loaves & Fishes.
